What is the purpose and major components of a Vibrating Sieve?

A vibrating sieve is also known as a vibrating screen or vibratory separator. it is a device that separates, classifies, and screens materials according to particle sizes. It is widely utilized in a wide range of industries including mining, pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemical engineering, and many more.

The screen deck is a platform on which the material for screening is in place. It is often constructed of wire mesh or perforated plates with precise hole sizes or patterns that allows smaller particles to pass through while trapping larger particles.

Vibrating Motor:

The vibrating sieve is equipped with one or more vibrating motors that generates vibrations to help the materials travel across the screen surface. These motors are normally positioned on the side or underneath the sieve and it depends on the design that produces a linear or circular motion.

The sieve frame provides a structural support for the screen deck as well as the vibrating motor(s). It is typically composed of steel or other robust materials that bears vibrations and strains during operation.

Feed Inlet and Discharge Outlet:
